Take your Self-Care to the next level with this delicious 75min Restorative Yoga class that incorporates a gentle flow of yoga postures to open and unwind tension from your body, guided meditation to soothe and calm your state of mind, with natural aromas specifically selected to enhance your personal mood, along with relaxing physical adjustments and Thai-style massage throughout. Enjoy an extended shavasana (final resting pose) while essentials oils are massaged on specific pressure points to further relax and restore your mind, body, and heart. You will also receive a sample of an essential oil to take home.

What is Aromatherapy?

Aromatherapy is a holistic healing treatment that uses natural plant extracts to promote health and well-being. Sometimes it’s called essential oil therapy. Aromatherapy uses aromatic essential oils medicinally to improve the health of the mind, body, and heart. It enhances both physical and emotional health. How does it work?

Inhaling essential oils stimulates the olfactory system, the part of the brain connected to smell, including the nose and the brain. Molecules that enter the nose or mouth pass to the lungs, and from there, to other parts of the body. As the molecules reach the brain, they affect the limbic system, which is linked to the emotions, the heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, memory, stress, and hormone balance. In this way, essential oils can have a subtle, yet holistic effect on the body.
